Photography Camp 2023 Application Deadline

During Coaching Detroit Forward’s Beginner Photography Camp, students will learn about photography basics and techniques from head coach Sacred Overstreet-Amos. They will learn the history of photography, photography equipment, camera settings, lighting, career opportunities and more. There will also be guest photographers who have shot photos for local and national publications, companies and events. Each student will be given a laptop and a camera to use during the camp.to practice capturing photos of architecture, nature, people and city life. Their photos will be published online and in Perspectives Magazine. They will also be exhibited at the Empowerment Plan in fall 2023.
The free camp includes daily lunch and parking. Must be a Detroit high school student to apply.

The Beginner Photography Camp will be held weekdays July 31-Aug. 11, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bamboo Detroit.
