Imerman Angels – Navigating Relationships After Cancer

September 29 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm CDT
Free

Not only does a cancer diagnosis upend your life — it can significantly impact your relationships. Join us for an honest and compassionate conversation about the realities of navigating relationships after cancer. Through personal stories and expert insights, we’ll explore the highs and lows of how cancer can affect relationships with parents, siblings, children, partners, friends, and more.

Designed for cancer fighters, survivors, previvors, caregivers, family members, and friends, this session will highlight common relationship challenges after a diagnosis and provide validation and practical guidance for understanding and strengthening connections after cancer.

In this session, we’ll discuss:
– Identifying common relationship challenges after a cancer diagnosis — and how to handle them
– Managing expectations, setting boundaries, and coping with unhealthy relationships
– Parenting through and beyond a cancer diagnosis
– Adjusting to changing relationship dynamics with your significant other, family members, and friends — for both the cancer survivor and their caregivers
– Navigating relationships in survivorship

Moderator Joycelyn M. Lee, PhD and panelists are not affiliated with Imerman Angels and were not compensated for their participation in this event.
